Alleviate your shoulder and elbow pain and get back to enjoying your life.
Does performing simple, everyday tasks such as getting dressed or washing your hair cause you shoulder or elbow pain? Are you unable to play tennis or cards without an increase in shoulder or elbow pain?
What causes shoulder pain?
The primary shoulder joint is a connection between the shoulder blade (scapula) and arm bone (humerus) and can move in multiple directions, making it prone to injury as well as wear and tear.
The primary muscle that controls shoulder movement is the rotator cuff, a group of four muscles that can easily be strained or torn. The upper back and core muscles act to stabilize your body so you can move your arm safely from a stable position. Without good core and scapular stability, you are more prone to injuries that cause shoulder pain, like rotator cuff tendonitis, rotator cuff tear, or bursitis.

Elbow pain
Your elbow is a hinge joint between the upper arm (humerus) and the ulna and radius of your forearm. The muscles that move your wrist attach at the elbow. Your elbow takes a lot of abuse all day long as you use a computer mouse, hold a phone to your ear, reach for things, or carry objects, causing issues such as tennis or golfer’s elbow. Elbow pain can easily become chronic.
What is the biggest mistake you can make if you have pain?
The biggest mistake you can make is to ignore your pain, or think you can just rest and it will go away. While a short period of rest may be appropriate, ignoring the pain is often a recipe for pain to become chronic, more difficult to treat, and you may develop other issues while compensating for the original issue.
