The Manual Touch Running Presentation

AVOID INJURY & RUN FASTER

There are 3 key things a runner needs to be efficient, fast and injury free – Mobility, Balance, and Strength:

  1. Mobility: Runners need to have enough mobility in their joints – spine, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, and big toes in order to absorb each step and be as efficient as possible.
  2. Balance: Runners need great balance as running is a series of one-legged hops.
  3. Strength: Runners need strength in order to create enough force to propel their body through the air efficiently.

Unlike other sports where you might move sideways or pivot around, running is a repetitive sport moving forward in one direction or plane of motion. However, it’s important to do exercises in all 3 planes to sufficiently and thoroughly build stability and strength of your joints and soft tissues.

In this portal, we provide exercises and and resources that work all 3 planes of motion to keep you healthy and on track with your training program.
